Dr. Salina Parveen

Dr. Salina Parveen is a Professor in Food and Agricultural Sciences graduate program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Maryland, USA. Dr. Parveen teaches graduate level courses in Microbiology and Toxicology. Her research interests are different aspects of food safety and water quality. She is investigating the antimicrobial resistance, pathogenicity, genetic diversity and control of food and waterborne pathogens in different types of food and their surrounding environments. Dr. Parveen has an excellent record of grantsmanship and received several awards for outstanding academic performance. She has published numerous peer- reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and presented her research findings at various regional, national and international professional meetings. Dr. Parveen also serve on several, regional, national and international scientific committees and the editor/editorial Board member of many peer-reviewed journals.
