Carlos Artur N. Alves is a young wine researcher, PhD candidate in Food Science and Technology program in Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Brazil, and professional Sommelier from Brazilian Sommeliers Association (ABS) and Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI). He stands as Gastronomy Professor, Pedagogical Coordinator, and Deputy Coordinator of the Technological Innovation Center (NIT) in Uninta University Center, Brazil, with expertise in wine, wine chemistry and sensory analysis. He holds a master degree in Food Science and Technology and bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy, from UFC. Speaker and educator on the wine market. He was Invited Speaker at the 2nd Global Summit on Food Science and Technology, in Rome, and 4th Advanced Chemistry World Congress, Barcelon, in 2023.
